1.
The blood of the lamb runs red in comparison to a sacred scapegoat clawing out of their own grave. Eden will drown and the ash will turn to tar, collecting in the lungs of the exiled. A soulless descent from the kingdom of heaven, disfigured by the stale embrace of saints. I mark myself for sacrifice. Martyred by my own will, a savior wears my skin. Martyred by my own will as the sky is consumed by sin. Hammering nails through my hands with the base of my skull. Repentance rains from above to cleanse an impure paradise. Sheltered by an open door and deafened by the cries of man as I welcome the storm, offering what’s left of my soul. Possessed, serpents sink their teeth. Drink from the neck of god: Eden will drown.
2.
A parasitic plea: consume and discard. Resembling a leech, devour and depart. Conscious victim clinging to your pain. Salvation couldn’t shield you from the innocence you claim. Imposter, live your lucid dream. Imposter, take everything from me. Pillaging the flesh from outstretched arms of kin. Starvation unsuppressed, a famine forged within. The host will soon decay as beating hearts dissolve. Departing veins disintegrate a pulse absolved. Drain the life of those you love. Shadows couldn’t show an outline of the fiend, pulling at the strings around your throat. Tight enough to make you choke. Abandoned by all but your reflection. The host will soon decay.
3.
Ghosts of those I love live in the corners of my eyes. I take them everywhere. Forever out of reach. They lead me to this place. To this mouth of hell. Haunted by unrelenting dread. Drowning in the dead. Gasping for a breath. I want out of this place. Fingers caught in tangled hair. Sweet floral smell of death. Flies dance on a cataract. I dance with them. They keep me safe. In this place I am loved. In this place I am not. In this place I am loved. In this place I am the carrier of corpses.
4.
Crawling masses, Failing light. We were never happy. We were never free. Vessels of power broken and drained. A world of hollow minds, Filled with hollow lies. Graveyards full of crosses, corpses and dead roses. Sacrificial beasts waiting for the hammer. Every home an alter, Flowing with despair. Waiting at our doors they beg like starving dogs. Bodies to devour, Hungry for our hearts. Feast of fear. Manipulated children with mutilated hearts, Take back what's yours. Scale the endless wall of skulls. Seek the summit. Lift heavy hands of melancholy from our eyes. See that peace of mind is the death of freedom. For we are free but empty. Lead the crawling masses, Who cast long shadows, In the failing light of their dusk.
